The
Salvation Army is an integral part of the universal Christian Church,
founded in 1865 with headquarters in London. It is one of the oldest
international faith based organizations in the world.
In
1935, The Salvation Army started its mission in Tanzania and now serves
in over 120 communities in Tanzania through Salvation Army Corps
(churches) and institutions.
The Salvation Army Tanzania Territory is partnering with World Education International (WEI) to implement Pamoja Tuwalee program in Siha District – Kilimanjaro region, funded by USAID.
The program focuses on three (3) main Strategic Objectives;
Increase access and utilization of comprehensive Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) services through community initiatives.
Strengthen human and organizational capacity of community local structures to meet the needs of MVC.
Improve advocacy for social protection of MVC.
Our organization is seeking to recruit a strong and dynamic pool of program staff in Kilimanjaro regionSiha District to coordinate and enhance community based sustainable care and support services forMVC
Roles and Responsibilities:
As
per TSA Organization Management Structure, She or He will report to TSA
Projects Officer, and will have an Overall management of the program
in Siha District.
She
or He will provide a consistent technical support to the field staff,
representing TSA Tanzania Territory in the district and region program
activities, extending program linkages and networks with the donor and
other stakeholders and the program quality assurance.
A prominent candidate for this position will have:
A
university degree level of education in any field of social humanities,
Post Graduate Courses on Psychosocial Support Program Management and
Children Protection Policies will be valuable additional advantages for a
candidate.
• A minimum of 3 years with a demonstrated experience of managing complex MVC and HIV/AIDS grants programs funded by CIDA, SIDA, USAID and UNDP in Senor Position.
• Previous experience of managing community based and livelihood development programs are highly recommended.
•
Very strong proficiency in Project Management Cycles (PM C), Budgeting,
Reporting, Impacts Assessment, Financial Controlling and Management,
Community Participatory Rural Appraisals and Community Counseling (CC).
• Ability to mainstream PSS components through community based program activities.
• A strong adherence to The Salvation Army Ethos
